The Boys of CMU 1973 !

So what is blog all about. It is about a friendship between friends that started at Central Michigan University in the fall of 1973 on 3rd floor Cobb. Now granted many of these friendships were established before all the stars lined up and this unique group of guys meet on the 3rd floor  but now they have integrated,mixed,matched,what ever word you want to use into some very unique friendship over these last 40 plus years.

This blog is to share  memories and pictures and stories of this group of guys.Some we have lost touch with others we have kept in touch and some we have rekindled again for what ever reason. Also many did not go to CMU but were friends of one of these guys and just fitted in over the years.

For me that is Andy or ,Gregory or Gary F. They are part of this friendship .Or how as we left 3rd floor and moved on that ring of friendship expanded to others. What was once a close knit of guys that 1st year, we all learned even than that we have to move on and expand but the one thing I have always felt is a when I saw one of these guys or heard from them over the years, a smile would pop up on my face. Now again, you must understand some of these friendships started before CMU but this is more the sharing of our story starting around  when this group first set eyes on each wothr in the fall of 1973 and how  our lives have  just gotten better in many ways because of the sharing of these friendship.

And yes for what ever reason we have lost contact with some of our CMU, brothers, some by our choice or some by there choice. So be it. My  doing this is not rekindle or force anybody into anything or rekindle  something we do not want to take place. 

For some of us who have settled in the Detroit area over these 40 plus years we have tried to get together and done a fairly good job of staying connected. Sharing our memories and watching our families grow up.

On 8/21/15,  a few of us got back together again to  "rekindle" that friendship with one of the 3rd floor guys and his family, that was Chet. Many of us had not seen Chet in close to 20 years. it was great and I know we we will be seeing more of Chet and his family.

I am going to share this blog with this great group of guys and hope they share pictures, memories,stories... It is open to anybody , yes wife's, significant others, children, fiends of  the friends who have stories and pictures. just " Keep it Clean".

We all have memories some of those memories have faded  and some of the stories have been embellished over the years. Share them and let us see where they go.

Or maybe when I share this with my CMU brothers , there might be no interest,so be it. 

But as they say " Let the good times roll.
